The 20cm empire lamp shade is covered in hand-crafted Savio marbled paper, a material produced through a centuries-old technique of floating pigments on thickened water before transferring the pattern onto paper. Each sheet is unique, meaning no two shades carry the same pattern. The marbling process requires the paper to be cut and fitted with two seams to accommodate the shade's curved surface.
