The 16cm straight empire lamp shade features a hand-painted card construction with a scalloped lower edge, finished in jet black. Each shade carries subtle variations in the paint application, resulting in a lightly mottled surface texture that distinguishes it from machine-produced alternatives. The empire silhouette provides a gently tapered profile, while the scalloped trim adds decorative detail along the base.
We love our hand painted shades. Each one is unique, and somehow the little imperfections in the paint work, and the slightly mottled look, add to the...well... perfection. Achingly simple, and in no way showy or brash, these gorgeous shades will feel at home in almost any environment.
