The 16cm empire gathered lampshade is crafted from a hand block-printed cotton, produced using traditional wooden printing blocks in Jaipur, India. The deep pink print carries a strong, considered colour without overwhelming the fitting, while the gathered construction adds softness and volume to the compact form. Its 16cm size suits table lamps and clustered pendant arrangements where a smaller shade is required.
This fabulous fabric is hand blocked for us in Jaipur, India, in what is the most inspiring workshop - we played for days with literally hundreds of wooden printing blocks - this is one result from then. A strong, though not overpowering deep pink.
