The Fenghuang table lamp base features a hand-decorated ceramic construction inspired by the traditional ginger jar form. Its surface is painted with a chinoiserie landscape scene depicting gargoyles and birds, with hand-painted red birds referencing the mythical Fenghuang of Chinese mythology. A purposefully distressed finish gives the piece an antique appearance, adding depth to the painted detailing.
This beautiful ceramic lamp is inspired by the traditional ginger jar. It is hand-decorated with gargoyles and birds in a classic chinoiserie landscape scene. The hand-painted red birds have a mythical quality about them, which is why we named it after the immortal birds in Chinese mythology that reigned over all others. A purposefully distressed finish makes the Fenghuang look antique.
