Founded in 1985, Holloways of Ludlow is a British interiors brand known for...
The pendant light combines glass and marble materials with sophisticated craftsmanship. Its oval shape features carefully balanced proportions that create visual contrast between hard and soft elements. The glass shade provides gentle illumination while the marble base adds substantial weight and stability. The design offers both transparent and opaque qualities that enhance ambient lighting.
The Danish designer Simon Legald has designed a sophisticated range of lamps called Amp. The lamps are characterized by their high-quality materials of glass and marble. These add a visual fragility and sensuous heaviness to the design. The idea for the lamp''s shape came when the designer was restoring an old 1960''s radio at home. While searching for spare parts for the radio, he was captivated by the glow that emits from the tube amplifier. The simple oval shape and the glow of the lamp is an obvious reference to this, just as the name Amp refers to the English term; tube amplifier. The proportions for each lamp have been carefully designed to ensure just the right balance between hard & soft and transparent & opaque.
