The pendant light provides compact illumination with geometric crisscross lines decorating its spherical body. Its steel ceiling plate ensures secure attachment, while the white finish creates warm diffused lighting with patterned shadows. The small size suits intimate spaces, and the crisscross detailing adds visual texture to the smooth form.
Hay's 'Nelson Ball Crisscross Bubble' pendant light is a smooth amalgamation of angular and curvilinear. The vision of designer George Nelson (1908-1986), the light is taken from the American's wider 'Bubble Lamp' collection, which was created in 1952 and inspired by a set of hanging silk covered Swedish lamps encountered by the designer. Affixed to the ceiling with a steel plate and featuring a series of crisscrossed lines along its body, this small version of the wide white pendant light offers a warm diffused light from overhead that meets surfaces with a corresponding patterned shade.
