The straight empire pendant shade is crafted from Tussah silk, hand-woven in the traditional Indian style using thread from wild Antheraea silkworms, resulting in a naturally thicker, more textured fabric than cultivated silk. Its layered colouring moves through orange, coral, and raspberry tones, with a golden sheen that becomes more pronounced when lit. The characteristic slubs and uneven weave texture are inherent to the hand-weaving process, giving the fabric a distinctive depth and variation across its surface. At 18cm in diameter, it works well as a close-fitting pendant shade.
