Weck Jar Seal 10 cm - Plastic Gasket for Preserving Jars

The Weck rubber seal is designed for Weck jars, helping to store and display preserves, sauces and jams. Made from high-quality plastic free of toxic rubber substances, the gasket matches the jar's diameter and sits on the lid. When used with stainless steel clips (sold separately), it secures the filled jar during pasteurisation. Excessive temperature or rapid heating may cause the seal to dislodge, so the jar should cool completely before the clips are removed.

The product presented here is a Weck rubber seal for Weck jars, which will wonderfully store and display your preserves, sauces and jams. The gasket is made of high-quality plastic (free of toxic rubber substances) and has a diameter to match the jar, is placed on the lid and closes the filled j ar using stainless steel clips (clips available for purchase separately!). The jar is then pasteurised using the chosen pasteurisation method. Please note, however, that too high a temperature or too rapid heating of the jar's contents may cause the seal to dislodge or part of the product to get between the seal and the lid. After the jars have cooled down completely, remove the clips and put the jar on the shelf in the pantry, where it awaits its moment - this delicious moment :)NOTE!
