The carafe combines blown glass with hand-turned grey marble in a distinctive water droplet design. Its smooth marble interior contrasts with the rough exterior texture, while the glass vessel provides elegant functionality. The marble base offers stability and visual weight, and the droplet form creates an striking silhouette.
Guided by traditional aesthetics yet wholly contemporary, Gumdesign's 'Versante' carafe for Visionnaire presents a memorable amalgamation of texture and material. Resting on a hand-turned grey marble bowl — smooth on the inside, rough on the exterior — the blown glass bottle is shaped to resemble a water droplet, a form which sits in contrast with the coarseness of the bowl beneath.
