This is a saucer from the MetroChic series by Villeroy & Boch, which has been designed specifically for an espresso cup from the same collection. Interestingly:The patterns adorning the saucer were designed by US-based architect Barry Goralnick.Thanks to the piping, the cup stays in one place and does not move on the saucer. Space is left next to the cup for a spoon, truffle or biscuit. The saucer has been manufactured from bone china.
