Tipu Pinch Pot - Ivory Wood

The Tipu Pinch Pot features handcrafted construction using traditional Channapatna techniques, with each piece turned on a lathe from locally sourced Hale Maara ivory wood. Natural lac resin is pressed onto the wood during turning, using heat and friction to create a smooth, adherent finish. The glossy colouring is derived from natural dyes including turmeric, Manjista and indigo, then polished with screw pine leaf for a refined sheen.
