The illegal parties that emerged from the UK in the early 1990s meet the traditional tea party in this joyful fusion. The collection is inspired by tea’s reputation in Britain as the cure-all for coping in times of crisis. From mourning the dead to finding a way through shock, neuroses and meltdowns, this darkly playful series reinvents tea time and promises to delight. This white porcelain teacup and saucer, which comes as a set of two, is accompanied by two porcelain teaspoons. Beautifully misshapen, the design is accented with traditional gold edging.
