The Sicilia ceramic basket merges two traditional crafts — basket weaving and pottery — into a single decorative and functional piece. Made from woven earthenware, the form replicates the texture and structure of basketry in fired clay, finished with a high-shine glaze. Its floral-inspired geometric pattern adds visual depth, while the light blue colourway brings a coastal, tranquil quality to the surface.
Merging two traditional crafts — basket weaving and pottery — the 'Sicilia' basket by Octaeva embodies the aesthetic of Southern European artistry in an elegant juxtaposition. Made from woven earthenware, the bowl mimics the effect of basketry in fired clay. Practical and decorative, the piece is realized in a floral-inspired geometric pattern, and finished with a high-shine glaze. The blue version of the design brings a tranquil, coastal touch to tabletops.
