The Gogain dinner plates feature a two-tone stoneware construction with a m... atte exterior finish contrasting against a crackled, glazed interior. Each plate is produced using a traditional Asian enamelling technique dating to the 16th century, where pieces are immersed in water directly from the kiln, creating thermal shock that forms the characteristic surface cracks and metallic colour effect. Because the crackle pattern, colour depth, and final form depend on oven temperature, enamel thickness, and application method, every plate is entirely unique.
