The Ortensia serving tray combines hand-silkscreened, painted, and lacquered decoration on a wooden base, depicting the eyes of Lina Cavalieri surrounded by multicolored blooms. Its oblong form and handmade production process ensure each piece is wholly unique, with slight variations inherent to the craft. The tray includes a foldable stand, allowing it to function as a low surface when not in use for serving.
Colorful yet muted, Fornasetti's 'Ortensia' tray is am object of contradictions. Small and oblong, the hand-silkscreened, painted, and lacquered tray depicts the eyes of Lina Cavalieri, a familiar visual, which here is updated with the addition of a series of multicolored blooms. Wholly unique, thanks to a handmade production process, each wooden tray is supplied with a foldable stand so that it may be transformed into a coffee table with ease.
