The Mercado placemat features hand-woven construction crafted by artisans from Usiacurí on the Caribbean coast of Colombia. Built over a wireframe base, the weaving process uses dried Iraca palm fiber in intricate patterns, resulting in a textured, detailed surface with natural variation between pieces. The 80% Iraca palm composition gives each mat a firm yet lightweight structure, while the handmade process means minor color and sizing differences are inherent to the craft. Dimensions: W37 x D37 x H0.5 cm.
