The Santiago knife offers maximum simplicity, its unusual form reminiscent of primitive tools and serving as an eye-catcher on the table. Made from polished stainless steel, it is available in a glossy finish or with PVD-coated black handles for a translucent anthracite effect. Designed by Sir David Chipperfield as part of the Santiago collection, its austere character complements the Tonale tableware and suits minimalist interiors that blend glass, concrete and steel with raw wood.
The Santiago cutlery collection is characterised by maximum simplicity reminiscent of primitive tools. As with the Tonale tableware collection, the austere character is the main feature of the items offered within the series. The extremely ascetic Santiago cutlery is a set created by Sir David Chipperfield, a world-renowned architect who specialises in the design and renovation of galleries and museums (he was the only Briton to be chosen to renovate the Tate Modern). Made of polished stainless steel, the cutlery is available in two finishes: all glossy and one in which the handles have been PVD-coated in black for a translucent anthracite effect. Santiago cutlery, together with Tonale tableware, allows to emphasise the minimalist character of interiors based on both modern materials (glass, concrete, steel) and traditional elements (raw wood in simple forms). The knife presented here is one of the basic cutlery in the set. The shape of the knife, kept as simple as possible, is an eye-catcher with its unusual form.
