Encouraging egalitarianism and conversation at the table, Patricia Urquiola's 'Canale' cutlery holder for Alessi demands attention. A focal point in table set ups, described as a 'table sculpture', this arresting design is a robust yet musical composition of mirror-polished steel tubes that catch the light. This lively miniature take on brutalist architecture can also be used to dry cutlery in the kitchen, thanks to drilled detail on the underside.
