Anna G. Butterfly Corkscrew - Chrome

The Anna G. corkscrew offers a distinctive butterfly-type design with its two hand-shaped arms, which act as levers to ease the cork out of the bottle. Designed by Alessandro Mendini, its eye-catching 24.5 cm height is complemented by a polished chrome finish. The spiral is simply screwed into the cork, and as the arms lower, the stopper slides free with minimal effort. Part of a wider Alessi collection that includes bottle stoppers and pepper grinders, it is a considered gift for wine lovers and a conversation piece at the table. W 9 x D 5 x H 24.5 cm

Known and loved all over the world, elegant and stylish, and always smiling.... Anna G., a design icon, present in the Alessi brand's range since 1994, has not only become one of its most recognisable products, but has also gained cult status. The Anna G. corkscrew was designed by Italian architect and designer Alessandro Mendini, who wanted to pay tribute to femininity with his design. As a result, the Anna G. will delight both male and female guests alike, proudly taking its place at the side of a bottle of red or white wine. The device presented here is a butterfly-type corkscrew with an eye-catching height of 24.5 cm. The two arms, profiled in the shape of hands, act as levers and when the spiral is screwed into the cork, they are lowered, causing the cork to slide out of the bottle. The growing popularity of the design has led the Alessi brand to expand the family of products in this collection, complementing it with bottle stoppers, champagne stoppers, timers or pepper grinders. The Anna G. corkscrew is an original, high-quality product that is a perfect gift proposal that will delight all lovers of modern design and become an extremely graceful topic of conversation at the table.
