The dining table features distinctive hourglass-shaped legs crafted from recycled elm wood. Its handmade construction preserves the material's original character with visible joins and natural color variations. The unstained finish maintains the wood's authentic texture and charm, while each piece carries unique characteristics from its reclaimed heritage.
With legs reminiscent of an hourglass, lending it its name - Tempus being the Latin for time - this range of tables is made from recycled elm. Our artisans work with repurposed wood sourced from the beams, old doors, walls and floors of derelict homes in China, some of which are more than 100 years old - steeping each piece in history. This Dining Table is handmade and the recycled materials will result in each piece having individual characteristics. In contrast to some of our other reclaimed wood pieces, the Tempus withholds a lot of its material's original character and charm in the way that the wood has been put together with visible joins, colour and texture variation. It remains unstained for a natural finish.
