The Spindleback Dining Chair combines traditional woodworking techniques with the natural character of solid smoked oak. Constructed using mortise and tenon joints, the frame offers structural integrity, while hand-turned feet and subtle grooves beneath the edges add refined detailing. Each piece is hand-finished with a combination of stains and glazes to achieve its smoked oak tone, then sealed with a protective lacquer that highlights the wood's natural grain and knots. The natural variation in the timber means no two chairs are identical.
Our Elkstone Smoked Oak dining chair blends traditional design with a charming, timeless feel. With all the knots and grain detail you'd expect to find with natural solid wood, each piece is unique. Its enduring lacquered finish makes it perfect for busy family life. Our Elkstone Smoked Oak collection embodies classic oak furniture with a modern country twist. The Smoked Oak finish highlights the wood's natural grain and knots, adding depth and character. Thoughtful details, such as elegant hand-turned feet and gentle grooves beneath the edges, add to its timeless elegance. Crafted using traditional woodworking techniques - including mortise and tenon joints and solid drawer runners - and complemented with black antique hardware, Elkstone is designed for lasting beauty. Shaped entirely by nature, no two pieces are ever the same. To preserve the oak's natural beauty, the timber is hand-finished with a combination of stains and glazes to achieve its Smoked Oak tone. It is then sealed with a lacquer to protect the oak's subtle, natural grain traces.
