The hourglass offers a vibrant interpretation of the classic timepiece with its handcrafted Murano glass construction. Its two-part design features separately blown sections fused together using the traditional incalmo technique. The piece combines artisanal craftsmanship with functional appeal, while the glass material adds luminous beauty to any surface.
A colourful take on the traditional hourglass, this piece was designed by Paolo Venini in 1957. Handmade with Murano glass, the 'Clessidra' consists of two parts — grey and red — blown separately and fused together with a meticulous Venetian glassblowing technique known as incalmo.
