The Cobra Vase features a bronze cobra winding around the body of a deep red glass vessel, creating a tension between the rigid metal form and the organic blown glass. The vase is mouthblown inside a cast, producing an undulating silhouette with a tilting narrow neck suited to single stems or minimal arrangements. Due to its artisanal construction, each piece carries inherent variations that are intrinsic to its handmade nature.
A bronze cobra snakes around the body of this vase by Vanessa Mitrani for an expression that is both sensual and surreal. The deep red glass vessel, mouthblown inside a cast, presents an undulating silhouette with a tilting narrow neck that is suited to accommodating single stems or minimal floral arrangements. Alternatively, the vase may be displayed empty for a potent appreciation of Mitrani's elegant commentary of the delicate line between love and death. Due to the artisanal nature of this piece, variations from the images are inherent to its bespoke creation.
