The Sebastião Salgado. Exodus documents human migration across six years and 35 countries through black-and-white photography. Spanning subjects from the Hutu population of Rwanda sheltering in remote jungles to the first boats carrying Arabs and sub-Saharan Africans across the Mediterranean Sea, the work captures both the vast scale of the migrant crisis and the intimate moments of individual exile. Its photographic narrative combines wide-scale documentary coverage with close, personal storytelling across some of the world's most significant displacement events of the era.
