The 'A Perfect Creature' painting by Barbara Kuebel captures the nude form through abstract figurative composition, executed in oil paint and oil stick on canvas. Austrian-born and Alabama-based, Kuebel draws inspiration from awkward social interactions, translating this into abstracted portrayals of the human figure. Her broader practice extends to life-sized hand-carved woodworks, and her work has been exhibited extensively across Europe and the United States.
