The painting features recurring symbols from Peter Evans' earlier series, executed with a freer approach to mark-making and colour. Evans, an artist and songwriter from London now based in Brazil, works across collage and painting to produce abstract compositions that remain deliberately ambiguous in meaning. The open-ended imagery invites viewers to bring their own interpretation to the work.
