The Billy Vase 02 is defined by an elongated neck with a series of curved lines that give the form a fluid, expressive quality. Constructed from white stoneware with a hand-molded body, it carries the oblique and horizontal line detailing characteristic of designer Marie Michielssen's Billy collection. The interplay between the slender neck and curved surface lines creates a sense of movement within the vessel's compact, small-scale silhouette.
The 'Billy' vase collection is the vision of Serax designer Marie Michielssen and the result of a creative process that was a long time in the making. Following the release of a series of ceramic collections for the Belgian design brand, Michielssen created 'Billy' — a family of white stoneware vases united by a thread of oblique and horizontal lines that are combined with a hand-molded body and a distinct geometric quality. This small version of the 'Billy 02' vase is defined by an elongated and poignant neck, which is paired with a series of curved lines for an effect that is both playful and emblematic of Michielssen's approach.
