The vase combines whimsical design with its tall fish-shaped form, featuring hand-painted stoneware construction. Its open mouth provides ample space for arrangements, while the colorful finish adds vibrant character. The surrealistic details suit bold decorative schemes, and the stoneware material ensures lasting durability.
Hot on the heels of the hugely popular 'Feast' collection from British-Israeli chef Yotam Ottolenghi comes the 'Sicily' vase collection. Created in collaboration with artist Ivo Bisignano for Serax, the series journeys from the table to the outside, visually revisiting Bisignano's childhood home of Sicily where 'Testa di Moro' — colorful flower pots in the shape of crowned heads — are an important and striking part of the landscape. Here, they manifest with a surrealistic twist, with fish as pillars, lakes as fish, and mountains as kings and queens. The hand-painted stoneware 'Sicily 03' vase presents a tall open mouthed fish-shaped vessel that is simultaneously a cheerful ode to a distinctly Sicilian aesthetic and Ottolenghi’s bold cooking style.
