The Aurelia's Grail Wallpaper features a richly detailed tapestry-inspired design with a central figure surrounded by Tudor beasts, unicorns, yales, capuchins, pygmy parrots, and Japanese Chin dogs woven between vines and English roses. Its Trompe-l'oeil style adds depth and dimension, while the intricate layering of creatures and botanical motifs references the ornate tradition of historical tapestry making. The design draws on jacquard embellishment techniques, with the rose motif reinforcing its distinctly British character.
Aurelia, surrounded by all a manner of Tudor beasts, clothed in heavy, embellished jacquard is the centerpiece of this meticulously detailed wallpaper. Ornately decorated with creatures, Aurelia's Grail, a coveted world in which fantasy resides, features unicorns, yales, capuchins, pygmy parrots and Japanese Chin dogs, between vines and English roses, a heady ground from which Aurelia stands as curator of her own world. Reflecting the art of tapestry making in a wallpaper, Aurelia's Grail references the ornate tradition, the rose conveys its Britishness and the Trompe-l`oeil style accentuates the regality of the design.
