The Inkwell Jar Candle features a beeswax blend scented with notes of ripe peach, black currant, and warm tonka bean, unfolding gradually with each burn. Its wax composition is designed to form a full, even pool when burned correctly, supporting consistent scent throw and longevity. The cotton wick is recommended to be trimmed to 1/4–1/2 inch before each lighting to maintain a clean, steady flame and prevent excess bloom.
Immerse yourself in the enchanting aura of Inkwell, a beeswax candle inspired by the storied shores of Inkwell Beach in Oak Bluffs, Martha's Vineyard. Since the late 1890s, this cherished haven has served as a sanctuary for African Americans-an enduring symbol of freedom, restoration, and celebration. Notes of ripe peach, lush black currant, and warm tonka bean unfold with each burn, evoking the ease of soul-refreshing mornings by the sea. For the best burn experience, keep the following in mind: The first time you light your candle, allow it to burn until the wax pool melts all the way to the edge; for a larger candle, this may take several hours. Wax has " memory," so if it is extinguished with a partial pool, that will prevent a full, even pool from forming in the future. Trim your wick each time you light the candle, removing any " bloom" from the previous burn. We recommend lighting a wick that is 1/4-1/2" in length. Ensure that your candle is placed on a heat-safe surface. Do not allow wick trimmings, dust, or other materials to accumulate in the wax pool. To ensure safety and longevity, be sure to check the bottom of your candle for additional instructions, including details on when to discontinue use.
