The Basequadra vase combines mouthblown glass with raw iron in a graceful contrast of materials. Its square base and narrow stem support a rounded conical vessel that blends smooth and raw textures. The transparent green hue reconstructs the original color of unpurified glass, while the striking silhouette adds visual allure. This design provides a stunning foundation for displaying fresh blooms with its satisfying pairing of distinct material qualities.
The 'Basequadra' vase by designer-architect Michele De Lucchi fuses glass and iron in a graceful juxtaposition. Combining the ultra-thin material of mouthblown glass with raw metal, this striking study in contrast is defined by the satisfying pairing of distinct qualities. A square base and narrow stem give way to a rounded conical vessel, which blends the smooth and the raw, the matte and the light-reflecting. The transparent green hue seeks to reconstruct the original colour of unpurified glass. The silhouette of the design adds further allure to this remarkable statement piece for Produzione Privata, which provides a stunning base for blooms.
