The Makala tealight holder combines cultural heritage with functional decor, crafted from a repurposed traditional mancala board. Its original carved form, historically used in a game played across Africa, the Middle East, and Asia, has been preserved to retain the piece's character and craftsmanship. The reclaimed wood construction gives each holder a unique appearance, with natural variations in grain and tone. The carved recesses hold tealights securely, casting warm light through the textured surface.
