The Oblate vase combines mouthblown clear glass with a walnut wood cylindrical base, creating a contrast of materials and forms. Its low, spherical silhouette sits balanced atop the wooden base, giving the piece a grounded, sculptural quality. The glass construction also allows use as a planter, adding functional versatility to its decorative form.
Fusing clear glass with walnut wood and a precise silhouette, LSA International's 'Oblate' vase is a distinctly contemporary piece that may also be used as a planter. Taken from a wider collection mouthblown glass vessels, the item stands out for its low, spherical shape, which is balanced on a cylindrical walnut base for a pleasing contrast of materials and forms.
