Divide Wall Clock - White

The Divide wall clock by nendo design studio replaces traditional numerals with graphic line segments, where the count of segments on each line indicates the hour. Its straight-line construction expresses the gradual passage of time across a 24-hour cycle, while subdued colours and a minimalist form keep the design understated. A Japanese mechanism drives the timekeeping, giving the clock a refined, precise operation. Designed to be both functional and expressive, it defines the character of the space in which it hangs.

The Divide model from the nendo design studio is a solution for those who appreciate unique combinations of simplicity and ingenuity. The traditional representation of time has been abandoned here. The hours on the dial face are indicated not by the numbers on the dial, but by a graphic depicting segments marked on straight lines, the number of which corresponds to the given hour. The seemingly austere form, however, is metaphorical in nature - the construction expresses the idea of time, which gradually flows through the 24-hour period. Subdued colours, minimalist design and a Japanese mechanism are characteristic of this design. The Japanese brand Lemnos takes its name from the Greek island inhabited, according to Greek mythology, by the god Hephaestus - the protector of all craftsmen. Indeed, the brand's clocks are produced with the care and commitment typical of craftsmen who put not only their skills but also their hearts into their work. Lemnos clocks are additionally an example of beautiful and functional design. These are clocks which, in addition to telling time, define the character and create the personality of the interiors in which they are placed.
