Pasta grés chamotada — a highly textured clay body — forms the base of the 'Salt Vase' series, the result of a beautiful experiment between producers Origin Made, designers Ladies & Gentlemen Studio and ceramicist João Lourenço. Adding metallic salts to the firing of this material, Lourenço has created a duo of vases that are defined by gentle gradients of color, here in light cobalt blue, which, in conjunction with the vessel's spherical shape, takes on a compelling, planetary guise.
