The decorative bowl offers unique balance with its weighted marble construction, creating a gentle wobbling motion when nudged. Its matte verdi alpi marble provides natural beauty and substantial weight, while the curved design ensures the bowl returns to its upright position. The medium size accommodates various decorative uses, and the solid marble construction adds lasting durability.
Designed by Lucas Pouly for Marsotto Edizioni, the 'Gravita' bowls are reminiscent of tilting dolls with their play on shape and balance. Like roly-poly dolls, when the bowls are nudged they wobble and sway, and the force of gravity acts on the center of gravity to produce a slight torque. The weightiness of the matte verdi alpi marble used here always causes this medium-sized bowl to return to its normal position from which its natural beauty can be observed.
