The vase features flowing ceramic construction with soft, sculptural folds that create an elegant silhouette. Its doughy texture contrasts with the durable ceramic material, while the dramatic creases and bends convey natural movement. The folded design adds visual interest and fluidity to any surface.
Fully embodying the doughy sensation implied by its name, Completedworks 'Squish Squash' vase shapes tough ceramic into seemingly soft and supple folds for a vessel that flows elegantly, despite its material. The vase is taken from the 'Fold' collection, which — through ceramics, pearls and precious stones — traces elements of choreography while simultaneously alluding to chance and serendipity. The result is a piece in which creases and bends are combined for a dramatic silhouette that conveys movement and fluidity, and equally nods to the application of drapery in the history of painting.
