Fornasetti Ortensia Large Square Tray - Multicolor, Wood

The Fornasetti Ortensia tray combines hand-silkscreening, painting, and lacquering to produce a layered decorative finish on a square wooden surface. Its design depicts the eyes of Lina Cavalieri framed by a series of multicolored hydrangeas, blending figurative portraiture with botanical detail. The handmade production process ensures minor distinctions between pieces, making each tray wholly unique. A foldable stand is included, allowing the tray to function as a low coffee table when needed.

Colorful yet muted, Fornasetti's 'Ortensia' tray is a piece of contradictions. This large, square version of the home accessory is hand-silkscreened, painted, and lacquered tray and depicts the eyes of Lina Cavalieri, a familiar visual, which here is updated with the addition of a series of multicolored hydrangeas. Wholly unique, thanks to a handmade production process, each wooden tray is supplied with a foldable stand so that it may be transformed into a coffee table with ease.
