The planter offers a low, wide-mouth profile with distinctive blotches of navy, light blue and deep red decorating its ceramic form. Its hand-thrown construction creates individual character, while the irregular color pattern brings artistic flair. The generous opening suits multiple plant varieties, and the durable ceramic material withstands regular use.
The Jesture series is a continuation of photographer and designer Martyn Thompson's collaboration with UK-based ceramic specialists 1882 Ltd. Drawing on a lively carnival landscape and introducing a new body of work from Thompson, the collection merges stacked vessels, oversized hand thrown vases and striking planters for a lineup that is romantic, ethereal and abstract all at once. The 'Jesture 2' planter in blue is a low, wide mouthed pot defined by uneven blotches of navy, light blue and deep red in an application that perfectly summarizes the spontaneity of this series.
