The decorative tray combines sculptural form with ceramic craftsmanship in a birch finish. Its circular top surface provides smooth serving area, while the textured underside creates striking visual contrast reminiscent of natural rock formations. The piece functions as both practical serveware and decorative accent, with its mineral-inspired design bringing organic appeal to serving and display needs.
Taking its name from the Japanese for "rock", the sculptural 'Iwa' tray is a study in materiality and form. Crafted in ceramic, the piece has a serene mineral feel. A clean, circular top surface juxtaposes with a raw underside, evoking a rugged mountainous landscape. The interplay between the smooth and the jagged gives the tray a striking sculptural quality. Designed by Kristian Sofus Hansen & Tommy Hyldahl, the large 'Iwa' in birch is suited to both practical serving and decorative display, as an arresting statement in its own right.
