The Herald Superb Divan Base & Mattress Set combines a solid timber frame construction with a handcrafted spring system, featuring 1.42mm wire springs sewn into individual calico pockets and hand-formed into a honeycomb nested unit. The mattress border runs 21cm deep with two rows of hand side stitching, while 1200gsm of natural coir pad and blended British fleece wool and cotton upholstery provide layered comfort and support. Air vents on all sides promote breathability, and the borders are finished with protective wool and piped ticking for durability. The divan base is handmade in the UK from a screwed and glued timber frame, covered with insulation wadding and a calico-lined ticking case.
