The Herald Superb Divan Base & Mattress Set combines a solid timber frame construction with 950 individually pocketed springs, hand-formed into a honeycomb nested unit using 1.42mm wire springs sewn in calico pockets. The mattress features a 21cm deep border with two rows of hand side stitching, while 1200gsm of natural coir pad and 1200gsm of blended British fleece wool and cotton provide layered cushioning beneath the finest quality ticking. Air vents on all sides support breathability, and the borders are upholstered in protective wool with piped ticking detailing. The divan base is handmade in the UK from a screwed-and-glued timber frame covered with insulation wadding and a calico-lined ticking case.
