Chikan Square Cushion - Teal

The Chikan cushion features a trailing leaves and branches pattern drawn from an embroidered muslin (chikankari) piece housed in the V&A's Asia collection. The original textile is most likely from Dhaka, Bangladesh, dating to approximately 1855–79, with the design faithfully translated onto the cushion surface. Measuring 45 x 45 cm, it provides a compact, square format suited to a range of seating and bedding arrangements.
