It may be machine washed for your convenience. Due to the nature of the fabric, bamboo is ultra absorbent. During the washing cycle it will retain more water, making the fabric softer & softer after every wash. As a result of this cycle, the bedding should slightly shrink up to 4% during the first 3-4 washes. To accommodate for this minor shrinkage, the bedding has been made around 4% larger. So please don't worry if your bedding look slightly bigger on the first night.
