The Peoplakia Vase features hand-thrown stoneware with rich painted strokes that swirl around its surface. Created by Greek visual artist Leonie Yagdjoglou, each piece combines artistic expression with functional design. The glossy glazed finish is fired at 1240°C for durability, while the food-safe construction allows for versatile use. Hand wash only to preserve the painted details.
We partnered with Greek visual artist Leonie Yagdjoglou, to create three custom colors of her Peoplakia vases. The name Peoplakia is a combination of the English word “people” and the Greek diminutive suffix “—aki” which means “little, small”, but also “cute” and “lovable”. The series is born to tease about the lack of any meaningful communication people have these days. Peoplakia talk in order to hear themselves talking. they chat about everything whilst always concealing what they really think.
