Comprising a series of contemporary sculptures honed from clay, the 'La Terra' collection is the brainchild of South African brand Lemon and artist Jade Paton. Alongside nature, architecture, design and contemporary art, Paton looked towards ancient vessels for inspiration, a clear influence seen throughout the collection, both in the surface textures — which can be raw and unique — and the shapes and forms of each piece, which are often beautifully unexpected. Handcrafted from a smooth beige toned clay and distinct for its tapering silhouette — which from some angles resembles that of a wine bottle — the glazed 'Vessel 5' straddles both ancient and futuristic aesthetics and as such is suited to a range of environments.
