The Gogain salad bowl combines a matte stoneware exterior with a contrasting cracked glaze interior, finished with a slightly irregular organic contour that reflects its handcrafted origins. The crackled surface results from a 16th-century Asian enamelling technique in which ceramic pieces are plunged into water directly from the oven, with thermal shock producing the characteristic cracks and subtle metallic colour variation. Because oven temperature, enamel thickness, and application method all influence the outcome, each bowl is unique in its pattern and tone. This bowl is both dishwasher and microwave safe. It measures Ø27.5 x H7.5 cm.
