Its ceramic grinding mechanism activates with a clockwise motion and is suitable for dry rock salt crystals or black peppercorns, though it is not compatible with sea salt, wet salt, or pink peppercorns. The frosted acrylic finish diffuses colour evenly across the body while keeping the contents visible.
