The side table features hand-carved undulating edges that create a distinctive wave-like silhouette. Its mango wood construction is hand-painted in matte red, with edges rubbed to reveal the natural wood beneath. The scalloped design combines traditional craftsmanship with contemporary appeal, while the manual finishing technique ensures each piece has unique characteristics that enhance its artisanal quality.
Our Talasa Side Table is named after the Greek word for 'sea', in homage to its hand-carved undulating edge that resembles a wave. The scalloped shape was originally applied to a tray which was, in turn, based upon an antique. The mango wood is hand painted a matte red before the edges are rubbed to reveal the wood beneath. Due to the manual technique, each piece will have individual characteristics that add to their charm.
