The side table combines natural ash with molded ceramic in a distinctive design inspired by volcanic basalt formations. Its surface features separate sections, pairing a satin varnished ash tabletop with a sculpted ceramic tray. The raised edges of the ceramic holder can contain water and decorative elements, while the solid ash construction provides lasting durability.
Designed by Sebastian Herkner for Ligne Roset, the Lewa Occasional Table merges natural ash with moulded ceramic to beautiful effect. Herkner looked to nature for his design, mimicking the basalt columns that form on volcanoes when lava cools. The surface of the Lewa is divided into separate sections, coupling a satin varnished ash tabletop with a sculpted ceramic tray in white. Its edges are high enough to hold water and decorative flowers, so you can even use the table to create a mini Japanese zen bowl.
